Well, actually, he does have a good idea. A 4C/Elise fighter that undercuts both by about $20k and can run rings around them all day and all night. I’d like what he’s having.

He’s smoking sanity.

As much as I’d love a new Fiero, it just doesn’t make any sense in Chevy’s lineup.

The better question is where can I get some?

Yes Chevy should spend money on development of a vehicle that can undercut the hugely massive Alfa 4C and Lotus Elise market. With hundreds of these cars being sold each year, I’m sure the $100,000,000 spent to develop the Chevy Fiero will see a swift return on investment.

The only thing the Baruth brothers are guilty of sniffing is their own brand. I generally like what they write but there’s no denying they can be quite arrogant.

Weird, isn’t it? Chevy can’t play Porsche’s game even if Chevy has the power to make a wicked-awesome MR sportscar. Yes, the Camaro is hot stuff these days but that’s in a different class.

Chevy isn’t going to make something that will cannibalize Camaro or Corvette sales.

I was a bit excited to see the test mule Fiero back then. I was in south Texas somewhere between Houston and Brownsville off the major roads. Then when it actually hit production and I saw the performance figures I lost all interest.

They are both rather susceptible to social triggers, and I’m not sure what to make of it. Other than that, they can be quite entertaining, especially Jack.
They are people I would prefer to be casually acquainted with via their work rather than befriended in real life.

Exactly how I was feeling. I had a slightly modified 1979 Ford Fiesta that would run rings around them. Sad that a 1.6l hatchback was hotter than them, but to be honest my MK1 Fiesta was faster than many BMW 318, 320 and Rx7s of that time.
